If you've been led to believe that discounting your services or running coupon promotions is the best way to run your business, then this article will explain why that strategy doesn't work for you in the long term and how to use these strategies more effectively.
Module Introduction
Let me begin by saying right up front, that I’m not a fan of service discounting or coupons to try and attract new clients into a beauty business.
I believe that both of these business practices can bring long-term and unpleasant consequences if not handled with great care.
The client’s perception when you discount your services is that when you don’t, you’re most likely overcharging them and that’s not good.
If you feel the only way to sell your services is to reduce their price via discounting, then I would dare to speculate that there is something else going on that makes your clients feel that they don’t receive value for the current price charged.
